Why do many think that they can assess the quality and characteristics of tyres?

Hello together, admittedly a somewhat provocative headline. Here in this and also in other forums as well as in reality I notice that a lot of people have an opinion about different types of tyres; usually starting from their own practical experience with the corresponding brand or the exact type. I always wonder why you can judge the tyres so accurately. I can still understand if, for example, someone has winter tyres and with whom not from Flec k comes or similar and he never had these problems with other tyres. However, such comparisons are rather the exception. Maybe as a frequent driver you still notice differences when the water is on the road. Few of you will probably have made practical braking attempts and compared the braking distance in meters. Many write here always, that the and the tire comes “to its limits” much too early or so. – How please do you notice this in practice? so hard on the limit that you are about to fly out of the curve or how? I always find it a narrow degree between breakout and car still can intercept and fly off. Therefore, I rather avoid testing the limits of driving physics. I at least do not drive into curves with the intent to move the car now at the limit. I do not want to deny that you notice differences in the tires. However, I always wonder why it is everywhere s o gives many “experts” who can judge the quality of the tires or what makes them different in quality. How do you recognize “the limits” and how do you make sure you don’t leave? My question also aims at tyre comparisons of “brand tyres vs. cheap tyres” and “new tyres vs. old tyres”. I am happy about constructive answers!
