Hello, I have a problem with the winter tires on the Ford C-Max. As described in the title, it is Dunlop Winter Sports 3D. The noise always occurs between 140 and 160 km/h, below and above is calm. The strange thing is, the tires were already mounted last winter and there the problem had never occurred. Now the noise was there directly after changing from summer to winter tires. Since the car came only a few days from an accident repair (ink left), thought We and the workshop, that a damage remained undiscovered. Since the sound had sounded like a wheel bearing this was exchanged – without improvement. Only when someone came up with the idea to raise other tires, the culprit was found. Of course the wheel bearing has to be paid now – stupidly run! I still have one question, can I claim the tire at Dunlop, with hope for replacement of the two tires? The tire may have only one millimeter down (is max. I don’t think there should be any such flaws with this low mileage if the tire had more down, I would still accept it. In addition, it occurs in the preferred speed range for the highway. The strange thing is, on our old A6 4B, the same model was mounted several times in its own dimension (205/55 R16 91H) without ever giving any noise. And that, although the Audi with its sport, ahrwerk was very vulnerable regarding sawtooth. Greeting Simon
