Hello, I hope I’m here in the right forum. Hello, a friend of mine drives a Volvo C70 cabrio with the 2.5T engine. One of the first ones that were built from 2000. The engine has now almost 270tkm on the clock and there are some things that need to be done. The clutch must be made absolutely, the timing belt, water pump also because it loses cooling water, ZKD has to be new and somewhere the turbo leaks, it whistles so nen bissle past the side. The workshop meant that there is a total damage, because the engine goes into the thousands and the car is not worth more. Right you, could be very expensive, therefore it will be made itself and we have decided to take the engine out. We have from April the possibility to bunker the car and to work on it. And if the engine is once outside, you will get comfortable to exchange all parts and to check it out. The question is now, since the head has to go down anyway, what can or should be done right with the valve seat and the valve loop, or if it is enough to make the piston ring again?
