Is it harmful for the engine (2.0 TDI with DPF in the A3) if I interrupt my usual drive every morning for a short stop at the baker? So I start the engine in the cold condition in the garage and drive a few hundred meters to the local baker. The engine is not warm until then of course. When I am finished after two minutes at the baker, I drive again and start the engine again in the cold condition and drive the actual track. Is this harmful to the engine? Should I miss my usual stop at the bakery and prefer to visit a bakery at the actual destination, if the engine has reached its ideal operating temperature and a new engine start is unproblematic? Is a stupid question, but would be interested in what you say about it.
