Hello, we are currently looking for a new vehicle for our family (2 adults + 2 children). My restrictions would be gasoline and cheap in maintenance. In addition to the Opel Astra, Skoda Octavia and Passat we have come to the Toyota Avensis. Now I wanted to ask about your experiences: 1) Do you think the Avensis Limo is sufficient for a 4-person household (combi would be too expensive)? 2) Is Toyota cheap in terms of operating costs (workshop costs etc.)? Like others like VW or Audi? 3) Would the 1.8 liters be sufficient and how much you think this will consume “real”? 4) Are the engines, etc. (about BJ 2005) fully developed? 5) Are there special years of construction that you should buy or from which year of construction should be our new old Avensis from your point of view? We are looking for a cheap, solid and mature car! With little problems! You would help us very much.
