Hi ! I have NO Xenon headlights in my 99er convertible and have been annoyed forever about the bad lighting of the car. Can someone give me a tip what really does what ? Have been looking for in the search function but above all what of 100Watt pears read – that’s clear to me – are not allowed. Therefore and because this has already occurred technical defects, they fall away. With any Philips pears with 30 or 50 percent more light I am personally skeptisc h, because 55W remains 55W. Then I found this text : instead of xenon or stronger lamps, the idea with the cables is the best. And you buy a two high-performance car relay (costs at Conrad Electronic about 6Euro per piece) and steurt with the cable what goes to the dipped light the relay. With the relay you switch a cable with a cross section of 2.5 or even 4 qcm. Thus you reduce the resistance of the cable considerably, so that the lamps their full power over The original cables only have a cross-section of a maximum of 1.5 qcm. The Tüv should have nothing against it, since you have neither changed the pears nor sawed on the headlight. What do you think of it ?? Is it about the light at the CABRIO ! Another question about the fog lights. What are there for pears in there ? Certainly no 55W-things, or ? Could you use others and switch the parts on if necessary ? Thanks and greets browi
