Finally, the EU Parliament takes up the problem with the 45h week rest period in the truck. However, this raises some questions with me. Is the planned new regulation (?) only the at least 45 h break affected or also the shortened week rest period of 24-45 h? I understand it so that a shortened week rest period can still be spent in the truck. Who certifies me that I did not sleep in the truck, should I have taken a break outside of my location? e.g. b a relative or with a good friend? Can I spend the week rest in the truck if I interrupt the break of 45 h before by an activity? e.g. place on Saturdays times for 30 min on working hours or start the new week after 44h and 59 min on Monday morning. Why does the driving personnel regulation have to be regulated at all? The prohibition to spend 45 h week rest in the truck is valid for a long time only has hardly anyone interested so far so except for a Belgian pol The driver is forced to live in the truck for weeks. However, if one looks at the earning opportunities of many drivers from Eastern Europe, they can earn a multiple higher income than at work in their home country. These drivers have chosen these conditions extra to achieve a really good income. Let’s be surprised which loopholes will open up in the future. ? I wish all my colleagues a good trip at all times! I would be very interested in other opinions on the subject.
