Evening, is there someone here who works with an insurance company or knows how to do it? I just had a 25min conversation with an insurance company and am rather perplexed or even a little shocked if it’s all right. Things that were said: – I can’t insure a second car as a second car (although I have indicated a damage to the ovated driver), if I still have an old unused contract on which the damage happened and even though it happened by stating the It would be cheaper for me, according to Mr. Insurance Fraud. – My girlfriend had a damage last year with a vehicle registered on me, the car was sold, I would like to register a new one. Now it has been claimed that I will be punished 3 times. 1. Because my SF sinks, logical. (+200 euros per year) 2. Because I have to report a damage to her in the last 3 years, also logical. (+ 50 euros per year) 3. Because I for me also has to indicate a damage, because it was my car. (+150 euros a year). Not logical for me, because that says already the SF class, that there was a damage? In the end it would have been cheaper for me if I had built an accident, than the person, who according to the contract “rarely” drives the car, which is already illogical for me and I will be punished three times for a damage. (Now I just noticed when writing, that would mean that d if I am registered as a driver somewhere now, then an accident must also be indicated there, because with my car someone else has built an accident…?) – If I would cause a damage, the SF will be shortened and I will have to tell ALL insurances with which I as a driver is stated that I had an accident? And then with x people with x cars the insurances (including my second car) rise?! For what then are there SF classes? (or do I even have to have that now) t because that happened with my car? See thoughts in the parenthesis about it)
