Auris D-Cat – recommendation?

Hello, I would like to make it a little more difficult for VW to get to the top of the world and think about the Auris D-Cat. The test drive is about to start. I’m positively surprised by the equipment – now it’s Executive Touchscreen and Rearview Camera Series, Xenon anyway. Main reasons for the Auris as D-Cat: Torque full with relatively low weight for relaxed driving without rotating orgies, especially on the highway. Consumption is also supposed to play a role. Another argument for me is the high technical maturity and quality. At Toyota you can be sure that not the customer tests. We still have a Yaris 1 from 2001 with 170tkm. It is not to be broken. What about the consumption data? In the forum this is always a criticism point. In fuel monitor it can be called on average with just under 8 liters also as a drunker – in contrast, the heavier Avensis with the same engine is clearly more economical. What is it about? Are the Auris D-Cat’lers All heaters? Is the engine now matured? It is spoken of overheating problems, problems with the injection nozzles and also a high consumption. Has the engine become even more mature or As an alternative, the Mazda CX-5 2.2 with 150 hp is on the list. Lots of space, increased sitting position, good driving performance with low consumption. I think Mazda is Toyota in no way inferior in terms of quality. This should also be a long-term investment.
