Hello, in the meantime already 16’000 Km (since July 08) 5,2 L diesel on average, without problems. I live in Switzerland in hilly terrain, and often also ride on snow and ice in the mountains on weekends. So far I have had very good experiences on snow. Only the great torque of the diesel makes time and again to start on the mountain, especially with hangers, a little more difficult (turning forward wheels), here an AWD desired 🙂 I think that the long wheelbase and the weight distribution of the 7-platter contribute a lot to the neutral driving behaviour on snow. My wife has with her 14-year-old A 160 CDI (225,000 KM) despite (or because) the electr. helpers like ESP,ASR etc. more problems on the same routes. By the way, we both drive with winter tires from Hankok. Who has similar experiences in the Sc Don’t you?
