Hello care nut, I have a problem in the interior of my E-Class. I never really let this one get dirty, so that the cleaning consisted only of dust wipes or with a foggy household microfibre cloth. Afterwards the Jeffs Werkstat Satin Prot was applied with a pad, let in a few minutes and wiped with a microfibre cloth (by Hygi). This procedure was every few weeks, maybe 1x a month, actually always when I used to the vacuum cleaner had to hold in. Basically too often I believe. The following problem: Since I only wiped dust or with a fog-wet cloth, I never really “cleaned”. Afterwards, however, always applied the plastic care Satin Prot, so that I cleaned up an ever thicker layer. Maybe I also took (beginner-typically) sometimes too much. In the cockpit I have much softly padded or foamed plastic made on leather optics. it a lot of structure (see picture) and around the switches and controls smooth “hard” plastic (see picture on the left). On the smooth plastic there are no problems, everything perfect, but on the “leather-like” plastic I have too much product. Looks optically good, but when I rub over it with a dry cloth or the flat hand, the care dissolves in small white crumbs. Sorry, I can’t describe it better. I don’t think that the satin prot itself the problem is that I have just too much of the product on the plastic by hardly proper cleaning but regular application of the Satin Prot. How to proceed now? I first wiped thoroughly with a really damp microfiber cloth, which has improved the whole thing, but it is not gone yet. On my next shopping list there is once the Surf City Garage Dash Away, which is a real interior cleaner and not only a care like the Satin Prot, as well as an APC cleaner, either from Stjärnagloss (hey, which is in stock again) or from Meguiars. I could also imagine that a small brush like this would be quite helpful for leather and convertible top with the structured plastic surface. How would you proceed? Rather the Dash Away or APC 1:10 (or even sharper?)? And with or without a brush? What do you have for experience with this soft plastic in leather look in the interior? ell Mercedes or even W/S 211 drivers who can write something about it? Thank you in advance !! Gruss DiSchu
