Hello, today I was at the local paintmaker for an estimate – a dog scratched my bonnet and fenders. The aluminum rims and the headlights also got some slight scratches. But the paintr said that he does not include this in the estimate because the insurance company rejects it anyway – especially the headlights, because they are obviously blind anyway. With my Astra G 2.0 DTI (built in 2002) again TÜV is due in September. d still the first headlights, which are now really quite matt. Probably the TÜV won’t let that go. The paintr now said that he can sand off the headlights and repaint them – apparently the usual practice is?! Cost point 100€ per headlight. Is this recommended or are they then 2 years later blind again or what do you think of this procedure in general? Read already many thanks for it up here 🙂
