Dear Subaru community, despite the intensive use of the search function, I would still have a few open questions about the current Forester. My knowledge refers to a random half-hour test drive in a Forester 2.5XT with automatic. Accordingly, the Forester virus infected me also unprepared. My first impression: What a great part! Due to the current gasoline price development, however, it becomes for everyday life rather a Forester 2.0X with gas system. Unfortunately, the 2.5 XT is not officially available with this “money saving technology”. Here are the still open questions: · Is the 2.0 X with automatics suitable for swimming in traffic? · Are the indicated consumptions (also 2.5 XT) realistic? · Is the panoramic roof recommended (visibility, noise development,…)? · Is a model change in the forester coming soon? · Drum brakes on the rear axle are a problem in train operation? · On which equipment level is the special model Celebration based? · A utogas is possible in 2.5 XT (not Subaru)?
