Pleul tore down at 200 kmh, hit through the engine block and damaged the rear wheel tire, apart from the fact that the tire was completely covered with oil due to the damage on the engine anyway… I was only lucky that I was on a straight and not in a curve… After the incident, I Googled the whole time, and talked to different people. I realized that this was an almost common error of the K 1200s… That the model has problems with the gearbox, cardons and ABS is well-known and bad enough, but how can I, as a manufacturer, ignore the rupture and hit through the engine block? Apart from the fact that the things can then fly around at insane speed, injuring drivers and uninvolved, the driver is still dependent on his protective angel at the moment. Positi v probably had an effect when I intercepted the machine, that I also ride a motorcycle on a professional basis and therefore have a certain ability… But in the curve I didn’t think I could buy anything from it either… My question is now, how many did this really happen and does anyone know if they had ever complained against BMW???
