Deviating FIN in a used car

Hello together, we are just buying a used car, and I noticed a deviation. I once learned to check the FINs on the car that all are identical. Now I have a deviation with the desired car: FIN under the windshield is different than in the engine compartment. However, it is only another number in the range of the continuous numbers (2 vs. 5). Since it is only this one number, I hold any hidden austa This is an extremely rare phenomenon, according to the seller (dealer). The number in the engine compartment that is also on the vehicle letter applies. Can anyone give me any further information? //Addendum: Seller just called again and talked to VW. It applies to the punched FIN in the engine compartment, which under the windscreen is only a plastic card and someone probably has himself during the disc exchange. On the basis of the figures and data, I think this is a realistic statement, but I don’t have any expertise to validate it. With the next disc change, this can be corrected again.
