Hello Volvo friends, I would like to come out as a newcomer and already after I got my V50 4 weeks ago, ask a question to all Volvo drivers and especially the V50 drivers. Had 2 weeks ago a marten damage to the brand new car. The “Fiech” had nibbled on a turbo hose. As a result a total failure of the turbocharger. In the cheerful the problem could be solved directly (only 50,-Euro) and it also seemed to be quite rare, the straight a well-known V50 had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. Question now, someone knows an effective Marten deterrence. In the net you can find everything from “Voodoo” to “electric chair for the Marten”. But what is also effective of it? Has anyone else experienced exactly this problem already? I would be very grateful about some tips. P.S.: At my Beetle and at a Ford Escort the Marten has so far out of footprints still n he’s doing some damage.
