Fuel consumption of motorcycles contemporary?

A non-overmotorized average motorcycle like a Bandit 650 with 78 hp needs 100 km between 5 and 7 liters Super with an unladen weight of less than 250 kg. With my car I need between five and six liters Super. However, this is more than 4x so heavy and large and has significantly more engine capacity and 40 hp more power. A current BMW 320i has a standard consumption of 5.3 liters with the five times the weight and more than twice the power. I have the impression that the efficiency of motorcycle engines was stuck in the 70s and no manufacturer is thinking about changing anything. Something is not really right with motorcycles in terms of consumption. I think it’s necessary to say that. Am I the only one who finds it wrong? Is there a problem with motorcycles in terms of consumption?
