Clarion doesn’t like my hard drive

Hello together. I bought the brand new Clarion DXZ 778 RUSB. Now I try to connect the device to a hard drive. Before: The USB connection is OK. I tried the following. A 2.5 hard drive from Western Digital 120GB (80s was unfortunately sold out) packed into an external case. I tried the following configurations: (each FAT32) 1 partition 120GB 2 partitions 60GB 1 partiton 1GB unfortunately the hard drive is never accepted. For those who now after the current trial lem scream: No, the hard drive is running and it is also accessed. Because nothing works I took an ext. 3.5″ disk as a cross comparison and connected via an additional power supply. Also nix !! A 1GB USB stick on the other hand funzt. Now I wonder where the purely technical (non-physical) difference between the stick and the disk is. Here the user “Hausflur” reports that he has got a 60GB hard drive to run. Maybe someone is here also in Kl angfuzzi on the way and can ask the user. Otherwise I am grateful for every tip. Greetz Tim P.S.: As an additional info: The radio indicates when connecting “Error 6”. According to the instructions, there is no error code for the USB connection. In the CD drive it means that the CD is inserted upside down.
