Meal together, I am very interested in the Mazda 3 and wonder if the 150 hp engine will really have an advantage for my driving style. If you look at the torque curves of the motors, then both should be identical up to approx. 4000 revolutions per minute. Assuming that the gearboxes and final drive ratios are also identical, the elasticity of the motors should also be the same up to this speed. However, I find no information about the transmissions In the previous model, the 165 hp engine seemed more splashy, because the final drive ratio was chosen shorter. Therefore, the standard consumption was also higher. With the current model, the standard consumption seems to be identical, so I would almost suspect that the translations are also identical. However, an autophoria driving report makes me a bit stutzig, in which it was said that the 150 hp engine will start significantly better. What are your opinions or experiences about this? I am unfortunately only the 122 HP engine test run so far. I will also test the 150 HP engine in the near future.
