A few impressions of the Intermot 2012

A tour of the Intermot is always an experience. You can touch almost everything that somehow has to do with motorcycles live on site. And Probes. I found very interesting e.g. the abrasion-resistant underwear, which, provided with protector pockets, should allow safe driving in the double-digit speed range without mopped clothes. See picture or the fold-up electric scooter, which should cost up to 120km/h fast and only 3.5k€. See picture. Mr. Hayabusa to t But what strikes me is that there is virtually nothing new about Yamaha and Suzuki. A little bit of model care or just new stickers. That’s very little. Suzuki in particular will lose market share. And they were once market leaders. Today it’s hard to imagine. Suzuki has completely overslept the current big enduro trend, only one study was there behind glass. That’s what actually was the DR750-Zeta posted here. The new CB1100 from Honda looks great, but is definitely not my moped. Putting on it had caused nothing at all with me. The Paningale, as already posted, is by far the most uncomfortable motorcycle ever for me. Can’t imagine to ride at all a meter apart from the race track. MZ also had a stand. They didn’t look that broke. Otherwise, I could not imagine to ride a meter at all. MZ also had a stand. electric was again the big trend. The number of “real” motorcycles with electric motor is increasing.
