According to Renault, there will no longer be a megane tail. Fluence is the name of the new compact sedan from Renault and is a direct descendant of the Samsung SM3 Built, however, the Fluence will be like its twin SM3 not at Samsung in Korea but in Turkey at Renault. Like the SM3, the Fluence will first be available with the 1.6l 16V petrol engine (110hp) with manual transmission or CVT automatic. In addition, with the 1.5dCi, depending on the market with 85, 90, 105 and 115hp and always with DPF A 2.0l with 140hp and CVT transmission will follow.
