Do winter tires make sense if there is no snow?

I’m still on the road with my summer tires (because I will fly in january with the Bundeswehr in the kosovo for 4 months) for me it’s not worth it to upgrade because I am almost the whole winter away. but what I noticed is that my summer tires also have super grip in winter. I have often made conscious brake samples and determined that the vehicle does not slip or break out, so I thought that the winter tires might only shine with snow (I am not able to we don’t need to talk about it, because I don’t trust anyone to mature there). please tell me if I think right or if it would make sense to upgrade even though the summer tyres have stop… thank you love greetings PS:is my first winter with a car, have no winter experiences. oh, well, what I know is the insurance technology is not the best but that’s not my question, please don’t keep any pre-conducted to this topic 😉
