Never again Europcar!

Hello! I had rented a small car for Tenerife for 7 days via Easyjet two months before the start of the trip for 162.95 €. On arrival we were immediately informed at the Europcar counter that in the ordered category no vehicle would be available. For 17 euro more however we could have a new Renault Clio with automatic. That the ill-English speaking lady among 19 euro per day meant, came out only after the holiday on the final invoice. e us with all means a comprehensive insurance for 190,- swat up (“otherwise it could be very expensive for you”. In the end she asked us to give them a positive rating on the landlord portal (“It is very important for me” In the rest of the case the Clio of course had no automatic, it was a quite normal switchcar. However, because we did not want to miss the ferry to Gomera, we did not complain any more. It seems – at least with the big landlords – now usual too be that with reference to unfortunately not existing vehicles is pushed massively to an upgrade. On Lanzarote, however, I have had best experiences with a small local car rental. kazper
