I bought the V & H (sss) because of the optics, because I didn’t have a production line from HD and the accessories didn’t–no matter how expensive– . But that’s a matter of taste. One often hears that the V & H (sss) tins sound like “coladose”. That’s also true. With my “lesser” quiet baffles, the dam wool, which is only dunn and almost fine like cotton wool, was partly loosed. This makes it more tinker, because the daempfer is no longer stuck in the tailpipe T and this creates the coladosen sound. Solving the problem: New dam with solider material. I cut the felt-like layer so that the use can be pushed in with some pressure. Result: not really quieter, but dull(er). And because the “spicier/high” sound is missing, less intrusive sound. P.S : I’m new here in the forum and would be happy about answers / comments from people who also at the V & H (shot shots) or similar toys “experimented”.
