Hey. So, I’m now in front of the first car purchase – within the next 2 weeks, what it looks like. After that I’ll finally 18. I’ve always watched the used car market, and kept myself on various tips (petrol > diesel, etc.) After I hit a Ford Focus with 116hp in very good condition (rental car) with a well-preserved engine and not even 70,000km for – imo – ONLY 1699€, I was just thrilled: everything fits, my dream first car. But then my parents billed me, because they had a liability class of 17 too high, which I can’t understand – you can see it in relation to the price that is incredible. So, now I’m currently at a Seat Ibiza (6L, so not the older model! ) 1.4 16V with 101hp. Again I have to say: wow! I was against a two-door, but since this is the relatively new model (built in 2003) and the condition is very good, I have to say: I’m not going to be able to do anything. Price: 2000€. This corresponds exactly to my maximum budget. Now I want to know from you: – Is this thing recommended as a first car? I only read good, that a VW engine is also installed.
