Presentation of my foreign-Navi solution

Hello together. I would like to introduce you to my third-party Navi solution. Maybe it helps one or the other in the evaluation of such a device. The installation of a DIN device was not possible for me from the beginning, because I am very satisfied with the built-in radio. At the beginning I planned the installation of a PDA holder. With my HP Ipaq and an additional software incl. GPS mouse I would probably have driven well. Since I need the Navi only about once a week and it in the The NAVMAN iCN630 – system was great from the design. It had all the functions that I always wanted and so I fixed myself on this device. By the way really a great part!!! As a connection between Navi and V70 II I ordered a Brodit holder for the medium ventilation outlet. An optimal position as I noticed after long crumbling. On this holder I mounted a Ball that has exactly the diameter of the NAVMAN counterpart (Saugnapf for disc mounting). With a DC/DC converter, which I provide directly from the car radio with 12 volts continuous voltage, I convert the 5 volts required for the Navi. A discreet socket found then also still space on the Brodit holder. In the appendix you will find some photos. I would be happy if I could read a feedback from you. I am really very pleased with this solution! Although it does not come to the original- Navi ran, but it also costs a lot less!!! Dear Greetings from Switzerland Interbert
