Halli dear friends here in the forum. I still have (unfortunately) a very big problem with my battery. I have described this problem here before and received good tips from you. I own a VW Polo 1.4 16 V, 86 hp. It is built in 2010, and has up to now 22000 km on the hump. Unfortunately, I have constantly the problem with a battery that is very heavily discharged after a maximum of 3 weeks. In the vehicle is a 45 AH battery installed. I drive with it every day to work, the but not more than 3 km away. Must unfortunately use the car for this distance, because I have a very badly damaged hip, and bike or scooters fail. Was with the problem already with the friendly. He allegedly checked everything, i.e. alternator, battery power, and also the rest current consumption. The rest current consumption was according to the friendly 55 milliampere hours. The friendly then pushed this on the allegedly short distances of me, because the Time of the ride just wouldn’t be enough to recharge the battery again. But now I have to say that I was driving a 110 HP TDI, Golf IV before. It had exactly the same driving distance. And with that I had never had an empty battery. Not at all regular. Can it be that VW in this case simply saved on the generator and installed a very low performance? That can really only recharge the vehicle on longer distances? I’m looking forward to your contributions. Had this topic here as I said before. But I can’t believe the saying of the friendly one so easily, because with the predecessor GolfIV I’ve never had these problems as I said before. Look forward to your contributions and wash everyone here a nice and relaxing Sunday. Lg Tom:-)
