Hello, everybody. Someone made me the right exterior mirror kaput (vandalism, as it looks like). Mirror glass and turn signals are still ok, but the connection of mirror housing to the mount on the vehicle is broken, the housing hangs almost only on the wires.Of course, all-round does not pay (500€ excess), so I am interested in getting away as cheaply as possible. The workshop, which the insurance (although it does not pay) has given me (workshop binding) an offer made, in which the mirror including shell (but without indicator and glass) costs 215 € net (i.e. approx. 255 € gross). With different manufacturers, however, there is this mirror already from approx. 65 € e.g. https://www.autoteiledirekt.de/van-wezel-7147542.html And even the two original parts I get for 90 € gross less. But the above mentioned workshop may not install “replacement parts”. Only original, even if it were from a scrap car. Unfortunately I did not find the latter. Allegedly, because “replacement parts” from third-party manufacturers often don’t fit well. My contract workshop/dealer would install everything to me, but “without warranty and liability”. What would you recommend to me? Nevertheless, take a cheap replacement and let it be installed? Is there experience with the different manufacturers? Wan Wenzel PRASCO ABAKUS ALKAR BLIC TYC HD others? Original parts from the Internet?https://www.der-replacement parts-profi.de/article/outside mirrors-a1045554https://www.der-replacement parts-pr ofi.de/…/…uer-aussenspiegel-a1045520 The same applies to the dealer’s installation. Or should I have it done at the insurance company? for 255 (+ installation and painting fas over 380€). Thank you for every tip! Servus Harald
