… I call the thread times. I’m confused: My Fiat 500 got winter tires for the first time and I bought it 185/55 R 15 and that’s the well-appreciated Dunlop Winter Response 2. I always thought the tire was quite narrow, but I thought it just seemed like it was on the small car. (it’s certainly a 185er ) Today it was quite exciting for me at the supermarket parking lot, when next to me was a Citroen C3 derivative (I think a convertible) with the same tire width, but overall higher, n like a 185/65 R 15 tire by Michelin. Please look at the photo: the Michelin of the C3 on the right is clearly much wider, isn’t it? I measured with thumb and index finger, the difference is not only visible but measurable. – can one explain that to me? Was totally surprised, I am interested in tyres, I can even assign most profiles to the manufacturers, but I can’t explain this difference with supposed equal dimensions. 4 times to see if the C3 was really 185mm wide on the right side of the picture. Both tyres are 185mm wide according to the print, no doubt. Is it because the Michelin has less profile or why is the difference so clear?
