Moin zsammmen, i am here rather the reader and not – writer, but now I need some support after all. To introduce myself briefly, i am 51, I had my first Mustang with 16 without a driver’s license in the garage (which is now restored my junior drives). I myself drive a Mustang Mach1 `72 with 351C and love everything that piffs and puffs while moving (as with the moped – but that’s another stage). Now it happened that my daughter also drive a Mustang. My wife had objected because of the performance, so only the 4.0 V6 was left, the following mustangs already had too much power. After we had bought a really good specimen, I removed the LED inserts in the rear lights for the turn signals (through the conversion of only one chamber as a turn signal), would theoretically not be allowed. 6 months later the turn signals failed to the right, the body control modules (BCM) was defective. e I had shot a used one, learned and everything was great. Well, 6 months later the BCM is defective again with the turn signals on the right. Wiring etc. is fine. I have meanwhile researched, that by the conversion the outputs of the BCM are overloaded. The rear turn signals are simply clamped to the front, behind was installed for the missing chamber of the brake flash function heating resistors, so that the flash frequency continues to fit. Now I was also clear, why LEDs were built in, the previous owner has probably already been more suffering. Now I am looking for a BCM. One with exactly the same number is not to be found except in the USA. The question is whether someone knows in how far the ECUs are compatible in the years of construction, that would expand the selection. Maybe someone also has a BCM and wants to get rid of it, the last I had bought for 55€. And …. there are LEDs in the turn signals again, which reduces the performance – Marcus (to the photo: don’t worry, I didn’t cut the wiring, at the moment it had come from the user)
