Subaru SVX – Timing belt change due since 115,000 KM – Interval?

Moin, I myself come from the Opel Forum and have a question about my uncle’s Subaru SVX (built in 92). We happened to come up with the subject of timing belts, as I mentioned that a toothed belt tear in my Omega 16V would cause a considerable damage and my change interval had to be kept exactly. After that we looked at when the last change of my uncle’s SVX was made. This is now 115,000 KM back. The SVX itself has 297,000 KM on the clock. Is the SVX the change interval? Is it already due? Is it the same with the SVX that a crack brings with it a subsequent engine damage or can you drive it until it tears. I would be very surprised now. Would be great if someone could explain it to us.
