Hello guys, I am currently looking for a new car and I have already set myself on two models. On the whole, there is a short selection, a Mercedes CLC 200K with AMG sports package or a Golf 6 1.4 TSI (160hp) with an R-Line equipment. Now the two vehicles are in principle very different, here are a few basic data:CLC 200K AMG sports package BJ 11/2008 55tKM Very well maintained interior equipment, full leather (AMG-brown) ~ 14.500 €Golf 6 1.4 TSI R-Line Aussta tttung with sports package BJ 06/2011 46tKM Very high-quality equipment and all possible frills ~ 13.600€ Both vehicles had only a previous owner and are well maintained check booklet. Now the question arises which vehicle is more recommended for purely economic reasons. My driving performance is currently around 10tkm/year, sometimes more times less. Usually I drive only short distance during the week (working distance to and back each 6km). If you pay attention to the consumption and the performance, the golf is of course much more economical. However, I also suspect that the engine is much more vulnerable than the 200K which can be described as “stable”. What is not quite unimportant to me is the fact, how much value the cars still have after the targeted 5 to 6 years. I am quite right here in the assumption that the Mercedes is more more stable even though it is already a little older? I would appreciate a few tips and hints, which I should possibly consider in my decision. Thank you + greeting
