Hello, this topic has already been addressed several times, but still on a new one… I am looking for a new car and swung between the Mercedes W 205 C 220 CDI and C 200 or BMW F10 520 D or 520 I. My situation is as follows: I drive a distance about 3 km to work. Spread over the day I have to switch the engine on and off several times in relatively short distances (about 1 km each). (children pick up, shopping, training etc.) My question is as follows: Does the Benz take over iener or diesel the multiple starts better? I tend to the diesel because it simply offers more torque and consumes less on possible longer distances. Thanks in advance!
