First of all I give my vehicle and rims/tires data. Vehicle is VW Passat 3B Variant 1.8T Bj 1998, km stood 100780, lowering: KAW springs 40mm lower, but has become extremely low about 60mm, shock absorber Supersport, spring limiter front 30mm high, rear 50mm high Rims: RH Model AR double spokes one-piece, front 8Jx17H2 ET 35, rear 9Jx17H2 ET 30 Tires : Continental Conti Sport Contakt front 225/45 ZR 17 91V, rear 245/40 ZR 17 91V Since the tires hardly have any profile I have to buy new ones, and since I have never bought new tires I would like to be advised here. To the questions I have to the tires for the time being. – I can also drive tyres with those of the speed index and the carrying capacity I do not want to have extra costs for acceptance and registration. – in the vehicle papers it says ” only type of tyre Conti Sport Contakt because of ABS-approval. in the ABE of the rims are listed still several other tyre manufacturers which have the ABV/ABS identification. In this tyre combination the ABV/ABS identification is prescribed. What is to be understood by this and how I recognize this tyre this identification I drive max 10000km a year, mostly only short distances, and have a rather “normal” driving method, i.e. I don’t drive the vehicle in the border area, during the week my friends, beginners drive. I can’t spend any money on Supertolle tires either, thought of max 500,-Euro, since the montier is also added.
