Sers people. I would like to hear your opinion on e-bike vs scooters. So first of all my own opinion: Either scooters are too cheap or e-bikes too expensive. If I think that e-bikes are praised as THE alternative to the car and is repeatedly emphasized how cheap and environmentally friendly it is to use an e-bike, then I ask myself: Can they all not count? At the purchase price: For almost 3000 euros I get a good brand 125er with modern technology. With the money beko What do I get? With the scooter a fully clad frame with an internal combustion engine….this in turn consists of tens of screws, electrics and and and. On the e-bike? An aluminium frame and an e-motor, which (bosch) has plastic gears and is technically a better drill engine. Maintenance costs: At 125 you pay no 30,- Euro insurance per year. In addition about 35 Euro per year at TÜV costs. Of course there are possible repairs. I need a new battery every two years for the e-bike. This means that we already have 250 euros (or more) of battery costs alone. Wear parts such as brake blocks etw are not much cheaper than scooter parts, as has been the experience. In addition, the risk of theft on the e-bike is significantly higher than on the scooter, which is why an extra insurance would be absolutely necessary here. Do I see correctly that for pure reasonable reasons everything speaks for a 125 scooter? Rollers so neglected by the media when it comes to alternative means of transport. The advantages are obvious.
