Hello dear forum. I have a problem with the Evoque Bj. 2012 my girlfriend. in the past winter it turned out that the front disc heating was completely without function. Since we still have a used car warranty, we brought the car to the local RR dealer. This then changed the front window for a considerable amount. Since the customer manager of this shop is a real hot air blower and he us now fabulous 5 months (!) with the Abwi I would like to check the repair done of course. Only how do I do that? In the meantime it has been >15°C outside and this is of course very bad. I put the car overnight in a 10°C garage and then measured it with an infrared thermometer in the morning. However, there was no rash greater than 0.3°C when the heater was switched on and I measured it over a period of 10 minutes. Although the indicator light on the button is shining, however, ic h no relay in the interior or safety box hear. I also asked the dealer to describe to me a plausible test procedure, how he tested the heater or how I could test it myself. Since he told my friend an adventurous story, she should put me in the car with boiling water and watch the fitting. Furthermore an infrared thermometer is not suitable here. One cannot check this, we should wait for the winter So I’m afraid we can’t claim this repair until the next winter. But then both the used car warranty and the 6 month warranty on the windscreen repair have expired. So is there anyone here who can give me more information about the front window heating? Does anyone have a schematic, so that I can measure the outputs on the control unit? whether the slide has a temperature switch that allows the heating function only below a certain outside temperature? If so, where does this sensor sit? Where is the control unit for the front window heating? Thank you very much for your help.
