Hi! Got a pretty big problem with my grandpa’s scooter. But first of all the most important data and the history of the scooter: – Aprilia Rally 50 Version B – 49 ccm, 3,4 KW – Translation 73mm/108mm – Top speed 50 km/h – Carburizer: Dell’orto PHBN12 – Main nozzle 70 – ca. 10,000 km – First registration 1996 My uncle had bought the scooter anew back in 1996. He had changed the exhaust and it ran a lot faster. The original was picked up. He had given the scooter to my grandpa. The original exhaust was mounted again (from a workshop). The first problem is that he drives 90 km/h despite the original exhaust according to Tacho!!! A three-quarter year ago the scooter then did not jump any more. My grandpa was in the workshop where he was “repaired” for about 300€. Fixed in quotation marks because he did not hit again after 12 km! Since then my grandpa has not driven with it any more, so a three-quarter year. I have no idea about scooters at all and could only check the spark plug, which was fine, however. Besides, the scooter is only allowed to drive just over 50 km/h, because I don’t want to lose my driver’s license right away, because the police have recently put an extremely large number of scooters to the test here in Celle. Now my question: Is it worth bringing the scooter back into a workshop or should I’d rather leave it because it’s going to be too expensive? Or can I do something myself, even though I have no idea? How is it with the speed? It’s all original now, but he drives (if he drives again) 90 km/h! I don’t want to get caught with it! So. Was now quite a lot of text, I hope someone takes on my problem. Thank you very much!
