But I’ll start at the front: the advertisement of the sellers we saw at autoscout24. The advertisement contained all the relevant data, but the seller had only one mobile phone nr. Called and made appointment for inspection of the car on the same day. We (i.e. my wife and I) looked at the car and were satisfied so far. TÜV new, belt repair was made according to the seller’s statement. We tested the car for a short time, all so far in order. Then we agreed on a price of 1050 Euro on the condition that we make a contract and he shows me the invoices of the timing belt change etc.. However, since we had nothing in our hands, we suggested to exchange the entire purchase amount for keys and papers (letter, certificate, TÜV certificate), so that we could make the registration the next morning and then directly the car a Then the seller went in, we introduced to his apartment, so that he could get the papers and then to the bank, where we picked up the money. We agreed to meet the next morning at 10 o’clock to pick up and hand over the remaining papers (contract and repair bills ).Since I was still assuming that we made a contract, I did not ask for names or similar. i.e. I only know mobile phone nr, his vehicle and the approximate place of residence. The next day we will take the car to the parking lot for pick-up at the agreed time. We have made the registration before it. And then it started. At least we then chinned the new car with us. To date I still do not have the remaining Papie yesterday the mobile phone number was not reachable at all, today I talked to him but I was only offended and he said the documents I can forget. The vehicle itself is in a (in my opinion, I am not an expert) technically orderly condition. Nevertheless, the following questions ask me, maybe you can help me: – I got letter and vehicle license yes. I still worry that it might be a stolen vehicle. I suspect however that this is fake, since the number of the certificate in the database of the gtü website is not to be found. I do not call there directly tomorrow and ask, but what can I do if this is really fake? I’m just afraid that the vehicle is no longer traffic-proof. – how would you react in such a situation? Just look away saying “car is driving, everything is good” – does it make sense to go to the police? I mean I have witnesses that I have concluded the oral purchase contract with the requirement that I have everything under cover n received (contract and reperature invoices).
