Moin, I soon wanted to buy a compressor for various work around the house (paint fences with paint gun, blow out heating ribs, etc.). If the compressor is already there, I would of course also check and adapt the tyre pressure on the car. I read a little cleverly and picked out a compressor from Metabo, which is priced in my frame and should be sufficient for my purposes. This one has an oil lubrication. I had there no further thought was made about it, but then read by chance, that one should not inflate car tires etc., because there is always some oil in the compressed air, which then naturally gets into the tire and damages the tire. I then continued and saw, there are corresponding oil and water separators for it. However, these are not necessarily cheap, if one wants something useful. Therefore my question: Is this really so, that one should not fill any tires with it or is d I can’t honestly imagine that there are such quantities of oil in the compressed air that it would have any effect. Otherwise, if you clean eas with compressed air, you would have an oil film afterwards instead of dirt. Does anyone have any experience?
