What’s the point of buying a hybrid vehicle?

Just under one in three drivers in Germany is planning to purchase a hybrid car when they buy their next car, i.e., with a high probability of buying a hybrid car.This is six percentage points more in 2008 than in autumn 2006, according to a survey carried out by the tire manufacturer Continental, the world reports on Sunday.But what encourages the German consumer to build a hybrid car and what does it say against it?
