Hello and good morning, hopefully there is no “on the bag” when I place this post in forum…. I try it anyway: In the foreseeable future I would like to buy an E65. It should then be an 8-cylinder, because I would like to fulfill this long-happened wish now in the not quite youthful age. Now you read a lot about strengths and weaknesses, but what about the written one? At the moment I drive a Mercedes (W220) S320, with which I am quite satisfied, except a few small things. The motorization is sufficient, the place is very comfortable and one or the other gimick make driving very pleasant. But next it should become a 7-series. Which model is to be recommended with an 8-cylinder engine? Are there typical weak points, just like with Daimler? Are the early models rather to avoid? Maybe one or the other can help me a little bit. Thanks already for your help.
