Hello, my V70 has been equipped by the Volvo dealer a few months ago with an alleged original Volvo AHK with the same original cable set (at least the cover of the socket carries a Volvo lettering). The electrics has worked without any problems, but now every attempt to plug in the plug ends with a short circuit and correspondingly burned 15A fuse in the rear fuse box. The trailer is new and works on other vehicles without any problems. Now I noticed that the contacts in the 13-pin socket on the vehicle look rather “rubbish” and when plugged in appear to be pushed to the side so that they can get in contact with their neighbors. When comparing with sockets on other vehicles, I noticed that there is a plastic core with holes in these, in which the individual contacts are stuck, so that a bend to the side is impossible (a Google search for DIN 72570 promotes similar to days). With my socket, the contacts are hanging almost free in the air. Can it be that here a misconstruction or when installing has been forgotten? How do I see the greetings for you?
