Oil in the cooling water balance tank

Hello, I drive a 96 Omega B 2.5 TD with now 384,000 kilometers on the speedometer. I found today, which is in the balance tank of the cooling water oil. The engine oil consumption is normal, I could not detect an increased oil consumption. Also there is no water in the oil, I could not detect anything on the trackstick. It could now be the cylinder head seal defective or the oil cooler. Is there somewhere a guide on how to change the oil cooler? Do I have to pay attention to any speciality? Thank you for the answers Many greetings Volkmar
