Audi 80 B4 2.0 E: Cooling water disappears

Hello, with my Audi 80 B4 2.0 E, the cooling water has recently disappeared into nowhere. The problem has only recently arisen, but it is not due to a leak in the cooling system, which has been put under pressure and tested by a workshop. Nevertheless – as can be seen from the balancing tank – about 0.25 – 0.5 liters of cooling water per 120 km. I have no idea where to go, there are no cooling water pools or something like that. If you open the cooling water tank after a ride, there is naturally The pressure is not so high that you could assume that there is no leaking cylinder head seal (otherwise there would be more pressure on it, right?). What is striking is that the tank smells a little “fishy”, could it be exhaust gases? Does anyone have any idea what this might be about? Unfortunately, the workshop has capitulated, but has ever had a small pressure compensation and it flows a little back into the tank. also just made a test drive and put the cooling system under pressure and tested for leaks. Thank you!
