Answer from the manufacturer: Relay Ombrello on existing sealing

Hello together, I know that there are already one or more Ombrello threads, but I still open a new one, because it is specifically about one topic: How do I proceed when I have a layer of Ombrello on the disk and plan to put on another or new layer because the old sealing layer is slowing down. This question has also appeared several times in various Ombrello answers and has already been answered in the following direction: “MIt the Excenter and / or Scheibenpolitur di I have sent this question to the manufacturer or sales department of Ombrello and received an answer today. The answer is different than most of the tips and suggestions were here in the forum.First my mail to [email protected] www.moton-automotive.de : “Hello, I have been using Ombrello for almost a year and am very satisfied with it so far. Since the normal shelf life is about 1 year I will probably soon be faced with the situation. Now the question: Do I have to remove the old layer inevitably and if, how ? Available are disc polish, car cleaning knete, isopropanol and normal glass cleaner. If I have to use the disc polish I have to use it with an excenter or would it also go by hand polish ? Or doesn’t it have to be in the end, because I can just put the new layer over it ? Another second question: How lan When I applied Ombrello for the first time a year ago, I bought 2 ampoules and only used one. So I still have a closed ampoule left. Can I still use them without any loss of quality?” Answer of the managing director: “Hello, an unused Ombrello ampoule is unlimitedly durable. Clean the disk normally and always clean before applying again with microfibre cloth and water so that it can be cleaned especially if there has been a seal on the disc several times, it will always be better, i.e. clean with water and microfibre cloth, dry the disc and then seal it. With friendly greeting xxx…” Perhaps the answer will help those who are also in front of a new application. Gruss E.
