Hello all!! I intend to buy a used Saab 9-5 3.0TiD Arc (2002), which is located around the corner at a Volvo dealer. The car ran 106,000km and got a new engine from Saab at 55,000km (2004, reasonable cost: 20,000€). After I got informed about the Saab and its engine, of course, the problems (bookcases!!) scared me off. But since a completely new one was installed in 2004, I wonder if this one is a modernization or problem deal. my question with Saab Germany remained unsuccessful (…Saab always tries to maintain a high quality standard…). Therefore I turn here to experienced Saab drivers and ask for clarification. Furthermore, no one can tell me exactly which alternating intervals exist for the timing belt (according to Saab Germany all 80,000km, according to Saab dealers all 150,000, according to ATU all 90,000km). Also here I urgently ask for an answer.
