Honda Hornet SC48 stinks of exhaust gases

Hello, I drive a Honda Hornet 900 SC48, 2006 with approx. 80.000km, everything except the mirrors, rear light and brake lines is original. I bought it in 2017 with approx. 60.000km. What I have always noticed about the machine, that it smells quite like exhaust gases, or my clothes. It smells not directly of petrol or oil, but simply very penetrant (spicy), as one knows it from very old vehicles. Since I now want to use it for commuting, I wanted to ask w My clothes smell really bad, so my colleagues have already addressed me to it. Since they are well stocked, valves have been set at just under 65,000km and they do not eat oil (not noticeable), I assume that it has to be something other than the engine per se. It still smells like when buying after just under 20,000km, whether warm or cold. I don’t think it’s the environment, because if I use the MT07 v On my colleague’s way, my clothes don’t smell like exhaust gases, rather about the environment, if at all. Could it be on the exhaust? Or do I need a new cat? So far it has always been dismissed as if it were normal when a motorcycle stinks… is also part of it… Yes and no. I still admit it with really old machines with carburetor. But I think the hornet is too “new” for it to smell so extremely of exhaust gases. What do you think? Thank you already Let’s do it in advance.
