Hello, first of all I would like to apologize that the topic does not fit directly into this forum “biker meeting”. But I unfortunately did not find a more suitable forum such as: “Motorrad allgemein” or “beginner”. Now to me. I am 55, I have just done the “second spring” and may still do a few things before the age circle catch up with me. Since my youth, riding a motorcycle turns me on. However, I never had the time, money, possibility or courage to do that. h especially always the Ralley Paris-Dakar and my dream motorcycle would be an old BMW from this time. Could then be an R80 GS if the Internet doesn’t lie. Now I wonder: Am I too old to start with? Would such a machine be suitable? I’m not interested in driving fast but rather I’m looking forward to comfortable tours over the Alps (live in Munich). Yes, the machine is certainly not a touring machine, but I think the design is great and I like the 80s. Thanks and greetings, Jürgen
