Today I got the offer from VW to extend the used car warranty insurance. So far, so good. When I saw the price then I almost fell out of all the clouds: 2000 – want to have them for this year. Last year I paid 1000, – for the extension. According to VW the price adjustment is due to the age, BJ 2008, 130,000km. There you come of course already in the pondering, one of these is of course an insurance which covers almost everything, and here in the forum I have already read something of 12,000 Euro repair costs in two years. And I am afraid that what is with the control chain On the other hand, I think that the car has been running almost without problems for me for three years, once the injectors were replaced on guarantee, otherwise besides maintenance was nothing. And for 2000,- p.a. I can also have something like that repaired. I actually want to drive the car for a few more years, and then at 2000,- p.a. comes together quite a lot. did not want to save at the wrong end, but what is your opinion? Extend or not?
