Hello guys! I have a Mondeo tournament (Automatics, Zul. 05.96). Slowly I am in despair. The car somehow pulls to the right. If you let go on the free track and straight road the steering thread, he stops the track about 100-200m and then slowly fades out of the track. In the city it doesn’t matter, on the highway it annoys and goes into the arms. I had the front tires replaced a year ago, they had run off at the sides (inside as well as outside). The following are: 185/65R14 86T I mentioned the problem in 3 different workshops. I thought I was just imagining it, but also a fitter confirmed the problem: “It’s quite strange”. Nobody knew at the first moment more than to set the track and then see… I probably had it done 3 times, so it doesn’t help. A fitter had an Audi, on which he simply changed the apparently not warped crossbars with the same problem, the problem was fixed. I can remember, maybe with the right side to have rolled a bit more on a higher edge stone, but no longer knows when it was and if the problem already occurred afterwards. Does anyone know this problem. Should I accept the cost of installing a new crossbar, especially speculative? According to TÜV both crossbar bushings have to be renewed at the front. Should I do this? Sorry, don’t know about it. The crossbar will probably cost about 100 EUR.
